1) What is Affiliate Marketing?

Simple: It is a Business When You Connect. Think Uber - Uber connects a User to his end destination.

Let's say, You want to go to New York or Bali.

What you need is to get from your home to the airport.

Do you want a cab? Not really, You want to go to New York or Bali to do what you want or need to do there.

It is crucial to understand this, because this helps you in your online business: people buy outcomes, solutions, representations, feelings (in this case it is a destination and the feeling it gives them when they arrive there). People don't buy products ( in this example the cab).

So the User above thinks "ok I need to sleep somewhere in New York or Bali". So what does he do next? He goes to Airbnb.

Now, tell me, what does Uber and Airbnb have in common? Neither owns the product! They only act as the connector.

I hope You get the point, with affiliate marketing you have endless options!

Answer: Affiliate Marketing is a connector business model.

2) How does it work & Why do You Want to Have an Affiliate Marketing Business?

Think Uber and Airbnb again. They don't own any products, they simply connect! How much $,$$$,$$$,$$$ have they made yearly?

Uber 37 billion in 2023 and $$ billions every year!

Airbnb 9 billion in 2023 and $$ billions every year!

Nerdwallet, another affiliate marketing company who doesn't own nor create any products! They only have a simple website.

They help Users connect to find the best credit cards, learn savings account options, land the perfect mortgage, etc.

$ 599,000,000 Million revenue in 2023.

Nerwallet got started with $800! It is now being traded on Nasdaq!

It is the easiest business that "Thank Goodness is now available because of the modern internet age"!

All you do is get what is called an affiliate link, which is a unique URL assigned to an affiliate marketer by a company or merchant as part of an affiliate program. When a user clicks on an affiliate link and makes a purchase or completes a desired action, the affiliate marketer earns a commission. These links typically contain a tracking code that allows the company to identify which affiliate referred the customer and attribute any resulting sales or actions to that affiliate.

You then copy and paste this link into your website buttons and you're ready for business.

Your site is set up only once, and you don't have to incur extremely costly startup costs or find products, nor do you have to deal with any customer-related issues. That responsibility lies with the company providing the affiliate products to you.

Try to imagine what that can mean for you!

You start at low or no cost to you and you can even sell your online business one day for a load of cash and retire if you wanted to.

Answer: You connect Users with prebuilt and systematised offers and products from other companies and you earn unbelievable commissions!

3) The Wrong and Right Way to Promote Your Affiliate Business

Most do it the Wrong Way: get the affiliate link and use the link itself to blast it everywhere, all over social media and via email.

The Right Way: People don"t care about the product, remember? People care about outcomes! feelings! representations! solutions!

Here is a true story that will help explain the right way to do affiliate marketing:

Let me tell you about my mentor, Vick.

He's been deep in the world of affiliate marketing since way back in 2005. But it was in 2009 that he had a total aha moment.

Back then, everyone was buzzing about this product called the Directory of Ezines. It was like a yellow pages for newsletters, helping folks find their niche audience and reach them effectively. And here's the kicker: it paid a sweet $97 in commissions, with a $197 price tag.

At first, Vick did what everyone else was doing - just slapping his affiliate link out there and hoping for the best. But the conversion rate was only around 2%, leaving him scratching his head with 98 people still on the sidelines.

He thought about the people and realised he needed to do it differently. He created a value piece around this product. What he did was give people what they wanted, "the kind of results they were after", he created a particular solution to their problem. They wanted to make money themselves. Vick then created a little landing page and an optin (A landing page is a single webpage designed to capture a visitor's attention and encourage a specific action, such as signing up for a newsletter or making a purchase.An opt-in refers to the action taken by a visitor to willingly provide their contact information, typically by filling out a form on a landing page, to receive further communication from the website or business)

and called it 48hr cash machine.

He created a video series in which he demonstrated "if you want to make more money here is step 1,2,3..."

showing them where to find products, how to sell the product and traffic wise how to cash in with the right audience.

In video 3 he explained the process what this product offered, how to research newsletters, what questions to ask, how to vet them, Vick showed them how to find the Ezines manually and then at the end of the video Vick said "BTW, there is an easier way to do it

he showed them a demo of the Ezine directory and showed them what he was using and said below is a link (his affiliate link), get it if you want"

He then sent an email to a small list of subscribers he had.

This approach made him stand out above everyone else who was promoting the same popular product at that time.

It was all about the result.

Vick went to sleep.

The very next day he had $700, hrs later $1500, $1700, $2300....instead of 2% his conversation rate was 25% in sales!

Vick made 30K in 1 month!

Vick perfected this system he stumbled upon and he wondered " if I take this model since it is working for me

and contact my email list and invited them into this, will it work for them too?" Vick invited his list and said "I am going to test this with you".

Vick gave them individual affiliate links to the landing page he built and that was the birth of the first simple system he created with the ability for his students to capture their own email list and receive their own commissions.

People who never made a dime before

started messaging Vick

'hey dude i just made $900'

"I just made $2000, thanks Vick"

"I just made $3000 in my first 30 days"

....someone made $15,000 in his first 30 days!

In other words : the system worked!

People went from nothing to 30k, 40k running someone else's offer through the system that Vick created!

Vick created The Motto: Systems work! (People fail).

Vick thought about what Bill Gates said once: I don't want to sell the box (the computer), I want to create the intelligence that runs the box. In other words he wanted to create a system!

In Vick's case it was the system he created for himself and his students!!!

Vick also started his own community through this system he stumbled upon without realising it at first, which is like his own social media!

With the complete system he created he realised that an ecosystem in his business was built which grew a massive community ranging into hundreds of thousands of people in a short period of time without paying for attracting them. They came in organically.

You just witnessed The birth of a HUB: community, products, sales funnels, tools, multiple streams of income and so much more!

Lets just talk about a tool in the HUB. The community needed an autoresponder to capture the emails that came in through the funnel, since they needed it anyway, so why not expand the affiliate business to grow it, by creating a little Nerdwallet-like Affiliate Business recommending tools the community needs to build their own businesses?

So Vick was paid by Getresponse (one of many autoresponder companies) almost 400k! Guess how much he spent promoting it? He spent 0! Why? it was passive because the community was already inside the Hub!!! People started sending Vick emails thanking him, because it was a win win for everyone.

Vick understood finally how to make sales effortlessly and his clients were happy!

How does that help you?

You should never ever rely on any affiliate link, this is a gigantic mistake. This will suffocate your business. You will leave money on the table. In fact it is costing you money.

Affiliate Marketing is the simplest and most low hanging fruit business you can own now!

Start this way

1) Build a Hub, which is your island on the internet.

2) Build a list!

3) Never send directly to the offer.

4) Send indirectly through a Pre-framer funnel.

Affiliate Marketing is a real business and it is the simplest and most lucrative.

You can do this around any product, any niche, anything you can dream of (think Amazon).

Simply collaborate with other companies (this is affiliate business).
